Social Media

Our District has a variety of social media we use to promote our events with discussion among members. We have two Facebook sites – a Page and a Group. The latter will not work with the footer widget, so it is displayed here. Our page feed is displayed on the bottom menu, as it will work with the footer widget. Our Feeds are limited to the 5 most recent posts for each feed. Known problem – Mobile version is not showing a few clubs properly, but does work on desktop version.

For more of the feed, please visit District 4-C4 Facebook Group Page

Lions District 4-C4 (San Francisco, San Mateo County & Palo Alto)

Welcome! This is your gateway to the Lions of District 4-C4, from San Francisco to San Mateo County and including Palo Alto - 52 clubs in all and nearly 1,700 members. The motto of Lions, "We Serve", says it all. Lions International is the largest service organization in the world whose members seek to serve their communities and those in need. We are proud to say that where Lions go, problems get solved and lives get better. WHERE THERE'S A NEED, THERE'S A LION You don't have to be a Lions member to enjoy many of the incredible fundraising events such as pancake breakfasts, crab feeds, dinner/dances and sports events. You can also learn more about the valuable services Lions provide in our communities such as vision and hearing care, veterans support, blood drives and youth service and sports. All Lions are encouraged to use Facebook to communicate to members and community members. It is a great tool to publicize upcoming projects and events. Non-Lions are welcome to join our group and stay informed. Who knows? You just might want to JOIN US!

Hello fellow Lions from across the ocean. I am PDG Satyo Fatwan of District 307-A1 in Jakarta, Indonesia. My home club is Lions Club of Jakarta Metropolitan.

I will be in San Francisco on Feb 9th, 2018 for transit, and then flying out on the 10th.

Is there any club near the SF Int’l Airport that holds it’s Regular Meeting on that date that I can visit? If yes whom should I contact to arrange the visit?

Thank you.

🎄Christmas is fast approaching for you, me...and the veterans! 🎄
The leo district has launched a service project, Holiday Giving Tree for the Veterans(HGTV)! We have 50 veterans who are assigned digital name tags and on it are items that they would like to make gift shopping easier for you! Gifts will be given to the Menlo Park Veterans Center, where they habilitate homeless veterans from all over the Bay Area who are in the Homeless Veterans' Rehabilitation Program.

Do this as a club activity or with your friends and make a veterans' Christmas a special one by buying a simple gift for them. 🎉🎉

🦁Please contact leodinazheng@gmail.com and ekratzer871@gmail.com if your club is interested in participating in the virtual Holiday Giving Tree for the Veterans program!

👉RSVP by THIS Sunday 12/10 with the number of tags/veterans you would like to help! 👈

Foster City Lions Club

Chartered in 1967, the Foster City Lions Club has been a vital force in the development and growth of our city. Our motto, the same as that of Lions International and the more than 40,000 clubs worldwide, is "We Serve." We do so by striving to make our community a better place to live and by trying to enrich the lives of those who are less fortunate. Lions clubs are neither religious nor political organizations, nor formed for business purposes. Our approximately 80 members both work and enjoy socializing together. Please spend a few minutes perusing our site to find out more about Lions and our specific club activities. If we have aroused your interest, you can inquire how you might become a member of our club, which has been given the district "Top Club Award" seven years in a row. We welcome like-minded people, regardless of gender, creed or nationality.

On November 18, 2017, the Annual Bikes4Vets program gave out 88 reconditioned bikes to veterans in San Francisco, San Mateo County and, beginning with this year, a trailer-load of bikes were delivered to the veteran patients in Martinez. The bikes were provided by the SFPD, reconditioned by volunteers with new parts including brakes, bike locks, helmets and lights; each recipient was required to take a course in bike safety before provided their bike. Sponsors of the project were the San Francisco Veteran Lions, South of Market Rotarians, the San Francisco Police Department, Lions Veterans Charities Inc., and many others including donations from Lions, Rotarians, businesses, and the public. This annual project was directed by Lion Helen Wong, Rotarian Nine La Dow, and Officer Padmore of the SFPD.

Lions, spouses, guests, community leaders and friends all attended the 80th Millbrae Lions Club Installation of 2017-2018 Officers at the Basque Cultural Center, Friday, June 16, 2017. This beautifully formal and striking evening ushered in the new MLC Board of Lion President Dave Van Wart, and a big thanks to a successful outgoing term of Lion President Bruce Sutter and his Board. It was acknowledged that NINE new Millbrae Lions were inducted during this past term along with a great number of donations to various community causes. Lion President Bruce Sutter gave out a number of awards to well deserving Lions, including Lion 2nd VP Bart Speccia as LION OF THE YEAR! Lion President Bruce presented incoming Lion President Dave with his President's Gavel, and concluded the ceremony with the customary dual ringing of the President's bells. Thanks to Lion PP Lorrie Kalos for her well worked job as Installation Chair, to Lion PP Paul Bourque as MC and to Lion PP Calvin Chin as the Installing Officer...along with all who helped to put this grand evening together. Music and dancing followed late into the evening. Congratulations to all Millbrae Lions and thanks to all who attended. From Lion PP Paul Larson.
