SUNSHINE NEWS

Redwood Shores is saddened to report the passing of Lion Gary Krippendorf. Lion Gary was club president for 4 years and treasurer for 8 years since joining in May 2002.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Saint Mark Catholic Church, 325 Marine View Avenue, Belmont at 10 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks to consider a donation of blood/platelets or a donation to the Stanford Cancer Institute. Condolences may be sent to Lion Diana Krippendorf at: 265 Monaco Drive, Redwood City, CA 94065.

It heavy hearts that the Millbrae Lions share the passing of Past President Lewis (Lew) Grasberger, age 96, on July 27, 2025. A longtime Millbrae resident and former Mayor (1971), Lion Lew joined the Millbrae Lions that same year. Born in San Francisco, he moved to Millbrae in 1963 and founded the California Fringe Benefit Corp., supporting hospitals and public agencies. He was dedicated to service, organizing “Youth in Government” and White Cane Days. At this time, no services have been announced.
