Pacifica Lions Club is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Lion Shirlee Gibbs. Lion Shirlee began her Lions journey as a member of the Pacifica Lioness Club in 1975 and transitioned to the Pacifica Lions Club in 2004. She was a devoted Lion for 50 years, serving multiple terms as Club President, and also held the position of President of the Pacifica Historical Society.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Nick’s Restaurant on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Pacifica Historical Society’s Railroad Car 1409 Restoration Project. Cards of condolence may be sent to 404 Brighton Avenue, Pacifica, CA 94044.

- The Thread will be published once a week – usually on Sunday evening
- Event and Community Service Flyers may be included on The Thread if the event is sponsored by LCI, MD-4, District 4-C4, 4-C4 Lions Club(s) in good standing with the sponsoring Lions Club(s) listed. If the sponsoring club(s) are not listed, flyer will be returned to sender to modify.
- Ongoing Projects are activities/events not held on consecutive days/dates.
- Flyers/Announcements may be listed/included on The Thread if received by Noon each Friday. Please email to lions4service@gmail.com. Flyers will be acknowledged as received to the sender – if you do not receive an acknowledgement, please resend.
